It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas!
As the Christmas season unfolds, we are reminded of the profound truths that surround the birth of Christ. In this message, we explore three key assurances that bring us peace and joy, especially during this time of year: God loves you, God is with you, and God is for you.
Psalm 118:24 declares, "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Christmas invites us to rejoice in the gift of God's love, highlighted in John 3:16—"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son." Through Christ, we understand that no power on earth can separate us from God’s love (Romans 8:35-39), a love that is always with us, no matter where we go (Psalm 139:7-10).
In this season, we are also reminded that God is with us. Psalm 145:9 tells us, "The Lord is good to all, and His mercy is over all that He has made." No matter what challenges we face, God’s presence is with us—Isaiah 43:2 assures that He is with us through the waters and fires of life.
Lastly, we celebrate that God is for us. Romans 8:31 asks, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" Christmas marks the ultimate expression of God’s favor: He sent His Son not to condemn the world but to save it (John 3:17), bringing us hope, peace, and eternal joy.
This Christmas, let's rejoice in God's unshakeable love, presence, and favor.
