The Long and Winding Road - Part 2
In this continuation of "The Long and Winding Road," we dive into the transformative power of grace and truth that comes through Jesus Christ, as outlined in John 1:17. It's time to leave the guilt and shame of your past behind, as Romans 6:6 reminds us that through Christ’s sacrifice, we are no longer enslaved to sin. God’s grace has removed our transgressions as far as the east is from the west (Psalm 103:12), and we are called to embrace the new creation we are in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We are a three-part being: spirit, soul, and body, and each aspect plays a vital role in our spiritual journey. First, we explore the spirit (Pneuma), where God's seed dwells in us, making us new creations and temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:16). As we grow in Christ, we are sanctified, and our inner self is renewed daily (Ephesians 4:30). Next, we focus on the soul, which encompasses our mind, emotions, and will. Through the renewal of our minds, as Romans 12:2 teaches, we can align ourselves with God’s will, taking every thought captive in obedience to Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Finally, we reflect on the body as the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). Our bodies are to be presented as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God (Romans 12:1).
Join us as we journey through these powerful truths, leaving behind our past and embracing the full restoration God offers through His grace and truth.
