Restoring Family Relationships

Feb 18, 2024    Jeff Hartwig

In Acts 15:36-41, Paul and Barnabas faced a sharp disagreement over John Mark, highlighting the potential for rifts even among believers. Satan's divisive tactics threaten familial bonds, but Romans 12:18 reminds us to pursue peace. The 3 C's model—Cover, Confront, and avoid letting conflict Cook—guides us in addressing offenses with humility and grace (Proverbs 19:11; Galatians 6:1; Hebrews 12:15). Conflict can either foster growth or lead to breakdowns (1 John 5:14-15). We're urged to clothe ourselves with compassion, forgiveness, and love (Colossians 3:12-15), resolving conflicts promptly (Matthew 5:23-25) for harmonious relationships.
