What Controls God ? (Part - 2)
In this powerful follow-up to our previous sermon, we explore the transformative power of the New Covenant established through Jesus Christ. As Hebrews 12:24 reminds us, Jesus is the mediator of this new covenant, offering a better promise than the old through His sprinkled blood. His sacrifice has done away with the old system, fulfilling the law once and for all (Hebrews 10:7-10). In this New Covenant, Jesus not only offers forgiveness but also places His law within our hearts and minds, creating in us new creations (2 Corinthians 5:17) capable of living out His commands.
The first part of this sermon focuses on how Jesus established a New Covenant, radically shifting how we relate to God and one another. Through His death and resurrection, we are called to love one another as He has loved us (John 13:34). But how can we fulfill this command? Romans 13:8-10 provides the answer—love is the fulfillment of the law. When we love others, we embody the will of God, transforming the world around us.
In the second half of the sermon, we dive into what happens when we follow God's love. As we allow His Spirit to dwell within us, we experience true transformation (Romans 12:1-2). Our hearts of stone are replaced with hearts of flesh, and we begin to walk in His ways (Ezekiel 36:26-28). Through this divine change, we become witnesses of God's love, and in turn, fulfill His commands and experience His promises.
